The PG course in Pharmacognosy was introduced in 2009-10. The department is a recognized research centre for M. Pharm and PhD programs under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
State-of-the-art laboratories and facilities are available to isolate, characterize and estimate secondary constituents. The department has received a sum of Rs. 16 lakh research grants from VGST and RGUHS.
